Why Care Exposure Exists
Bridging the Gap Between Digital Marketing and Senior Care
When I first stepped into the senior care industry, I didn’t expect to fall in love with it. But the more I worked with older adults and their families, the more I saw how meaningful this work really is. It’s personal. It’s emotional. It’s practical. And it deserves marketing that reflects all of that.
Along the way, I started noticing a pattern. I met a lot of passionate business owners and directors, people doing truly important work, but very few of them specialized in digital marketing. I’d hear things like prices being too high, turnaround times being too slow, and a lingering feeling that no one really knew what the marketing team was actually doing or how success was being measured.
In many cases, the business had great intentions and the agency had real skills, but what was missing was someone on the inside who could bridge the two worlds. Someone who understood the value propositions, the sales process, the local differentiators, and how to make sure the marketing told the right story to the right people.
I’ve also seen companies, both in this field and others, get taken advantage of simply because they didn’t have that kind of insight. And I want to change that. I want to help businesses maximize their return on marketing in a way that ultimately helps keep costs down for the clients they serve. Everyone wins when campaigns are clear, personal, and built on real understanding.
That’s why I started Care Exposure.
The Disconnect That Sparked a Mission
For the past few years, I served as the Director of Digital Marketing at SmithLife Homecare, a premier in-home care provider in the DC area. I wore a lot of hats there. I wasn’t just running campaigns or building websites. I was helping families start care, supporting frontline teams, and building a brand that people trusted. I saw the full picture, from inquiry to intake to caregiver-client match.
In that time, I helped raise our online ratings from under 2 stars to nearly 5 stars across every location. I built systems that worked, not just for the business, but for the people behind the business. It gave me a front-row seat to what works in senior care marketing, what doesn’t, and what absolutely needs to change.
Credentials Are Great, But Lived Experience Counts More
I hold a Master of Science in Digital Marketing and I’m a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I’ve helped hundreds of families begin home care services. I’ve sat with caregivers. I’ve spoken with overwhelmed daughters. I’ve trained staff and onboarded marketers. I’ve been the person responsible for not only the metrics, but the meaning behind the work.
Care Exposure brings that entire experience into one place. This isn’t an agency that’s guessing what home care businesses need. We’ve lived it, shaped it, and succeeded in it. We’re here to do marketing that connects, converts, and makes a real difference.
Built for Senior Care, But Not Limited to It
While my roots are in the senior care space, Care Exposure supports other service-based businesses too, especially those driven by mission. If your work is about helping people, solving real-world problems, and showing up with integrity, we’ll probably get along great. Still, we specialize in what we know best: digital marketing for senior care providers who want to grow with intention.
From local SEO for home care agencies to full-funnel marketing strategies that align with your brand and mission, we tailor everything we do to speak directly to your audience and bring them to you ready to take action.
Local Expertise, National Reach
Care Exposure is based in Bethesda, Maryland, and we know the DC Metro area better than anyone. That local expertise gives us a serious edge. We know how to geotarget not just cities, but specific zip codes, neighborhoods, and retirement communities where your future clients and referral sources are searching.
That said, we work with clients across the U.S. via Zoom. Whether you’re in Potomac, Silver Spring, Los Angeles, or Tampa, we make onboarding easy and communication smooth. For local clients, we do love the occasional meetup. There’s nothing like sitting down face-to-face to brainstorm and build something great.
Community Matters. That’s Why We’re Part of It
Marketing shouldn’t exist in a vacuum. That’s why Care Exposure is proud to be part of GROWS (Grassroots Organization for the Well-being of Seniors), where we actively contribute to the senior care community not just as marketers, but as collaborators, educators, and advocates.
We believe in building relationships that last. Whether it’s helping an agency get more qualified leads or supporting an initiative that improves care outcomes, we show up because we care. Simple as that.
Startup Rates. Seasoned Strategy.
One of the biggest advantages of working with Care Exposure right now? You’re getting high-level strategy at startup pricing. This is a rare window where small-to-midsize providers can access custom digital marketing that would typically cost far more at a large agency. We’re growing, but we’re doing it right, with intention, values, and real results.
We don’t cut corners. We build the kind of systems and strategies that scale with you. And we do it with a personalized, responsive approach that bigger firms just can’t match.
Let’s Build Something That Matters
Care Exposure was born from a simple truth: senior care providers deserve marketing that reflects the heart of what they do. That means strategy, not fluff. Results, not guesswork. And storytelling that resonates, because it comes from someone who’s been there.
If you’re looking for a marketing partner who understands your world, brings deep experience, and offers solutions built on values, I’d love to connect. Whether you’re in home care, aging services, or a community-forward business that wants to grow the right way, I’m here for it.
